Hi,I know you said no allocated parking but is there permit parking? Otherwise, how would the management company know which cars belong to residents or commuters?

Parking (bad) also drives me round the twist. mines a house at the end of a cul de sac with a house opposite that shares the entrance to, but we have our own drives. when I moved here, the owner opposite gave me a speech about not parking over his side. I remember saying it was ok as only I live here.

As it has turned out it's been his family that have been the royal ar5e aches and keep parking in my drive. Last night about 10.30 I went out to confront the person 'visiting' next door (they just sat in the car with the engine running for about 10 mins). so I just went up to them and asked them to move. These 2 lads in the car asked why I stared at them out of my window. so I said I stare at everyone who parks on my drive until they move.

The week before that, a car was in my drive, went out to them just as a couple of girls ran over to the car from a house the other side of the close. Told them too. The girl said she had just gone in to her friend's house as she needed a wee. I said I didn't especially care and next time to park in the road. this is a cul de sac of 11 detached houses with their own driveways.

so yes, I'm with you. I am always firm but polite when I ask them to move.

We have on road parking in our street and despite there being enough room in the street for all but one car belonging to residents this should be fine but a few people park in such a way that there isn't enough space left for everyone else.

Two houses have three cars each and one of the families not one of them can park a car properly or in a considerate manner. With one house being empty and another with space for two cars outside not owning a car it could easily be done in a way so each household parks a car directly outside their home, the extra spaces outside the carless houses could hold three extras leaving just one car which can park either across the road (a business's private car park but they don't mind residents using it overnight and on Sundays when the place is not in use) or on a bit of waste ground right at the end of the street. The ones with three cars each always seem to get there first and leave gaps that are too small for another car but so big less cars can fit in the street meaning up to four cars have to park in the car park or on the waste ground. Not ideal when we don't all have to be in work by the time the business opens on a Monday morning but have to get up just to move the car when the others have gone to work, whereas if they just parked there in the first place they would be gone in time and we could park in the street.
