Ordered, Cancelled, Refunded BUT company sends the product months later

Hello from California,
So last year (around November) I ordered a product but a few days later I decided to cancel it and they gave me the refund. Fast forward to a week ago, I received a notification that a package was coming my way so I picked it up at FedEx and discovered it was from that company from last year. Currently, the company contacted me saying they had some shipping error and would like me to pay for the product or ship it back. I am just curious, am I obligated to do anything legally?
What if things like this happen? What do you do?
Thanks!

They need to arrange to collect it, should not be at your expense as it was their error. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

If you quote me, don't forget the capital 'M'

You really should find a US based forum since this is a UK based forum.0

As above, this is a UK based, consumer rights forum, you're unlikely to get any relevant, legal advice here, best to look for advice on a forum in the US.Hello from California,

Was the item sent from a UK based seller? If so, the advice in post #2 would be the best bet.0
