Can't divert email from FOL to GMail

Our kid has an e mail address from FOL (Farming On Line) @farming.co.uk

FOL have been playing silly B* and now, when he goes abroad he has to use their (Roundcube) webmail system as they won't allow access through his MS Outlook mail reader "because of encryption problems" - don't know why!

So, I tried here

to get all his messages to go via gmail but couldn't get it to work, can't remember the error messages, sorry.

I suspect that there's nowt we can do but thought I'd ask just in case ...

Should work using POP settings from
http://www.farming-online.co.uk/support/emailsettings
these are the important fields :-
username (email address), password, pop server (pop3.farming.co.uk), port (995)
(try SSL ticked first then unticked)

Many thanks - he is currently away being frustrated by webmail!

I will check when he's back but I'm fairly sure that we have been down that route already ...
They have already told us:-
Forwarding has largely been discontinued due to SPF, but you may be able to set up gmail to access FOL email. For that would need gmail support to understand how and FOL settings: www.farming-online.co.uk/support/email/. NB you may run into the same issue though, so if it doesnt work with standard SSL settings, no point trying variations.
The formal Farming Online response when travelling overseas - if the mail client does not work (Outlook et al) we recommend using webmail.
