Appeal?

Hi,

Just wanted to check my next step... received a private PCN from Parking Control Management - told the advice to ignore which I did - bad advice i feel after further reading

Received another letter Parking Charge - Keeper Liability the letter says its past 28 days and too late to supply name or make a representation against the pcm and to pay or face the wrath

Should I still appeal to landowner or send template IPC letter or pay or other action? Due to the letter language its made me question my course of action

I also didnt keep my first letter :(

Thanks

doesnt really matter what you do at this stage , but yes it was BAD ADVICE

so yes , send the IPC template to the PPC and try to get a landholder cancellation as well

if nothing works , IGNORE the PPC and the DCA letters

come back if you get an LBC or an MCOL in the post in the next 6 years

do not give away the drivers details , to anyone , ever

bear in mind we have NO INTEREST in any debt collector (DCA) letters

Read about PCM Gladstones court claims because you will need a defence - we've never yet lost a Gladstones claim on this forum, they are terrible.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • OK so I received a letter back from them today rejecting my appeal - giving me a case example where someone had to pay due to not seeing signage -

    1. fee back to £60 for 14 days..
    2. Appeal (IPC)
    3. Do nothing and they will seek to recover or maybe take to court

Should I send a letter back their way at all - like a letter stating I wont pay?

I contacted a company at the place the car was parked and they don't employ PCM so wont do anything - I have a feeling the estates for the business park may employ PCM - would it be in their interest to uphold the fee? - do I still contact them and complain rigorously?

I will start reading about the cases in the mean time as recommended....

    Thanks for your time guys

it might be - they might get a kickback for all paid PCNs and they might have to pay a sum to cancel one (maybe £20 or so). Yes you need to rattle every cage you can, even offering to pay £20 or whatever for the landowner to exercise their right to cancel it. Be persistent. Be heard.

This is better than defending a court claim which is much harder work for you - worth the fight but better to act fast and get the stupid thing cancelled now.
