PCN Discount v appeal

Hi. Sorry if this question gets asked over and over; I did do a search but the answer didn't jump out.
I got a ticket (Council PCN) which I'm appealling. There is a 14 day discount period (50%) but the appeals process can take upto 20 working days. If I lose the appeal beyond 14 days, do I also lose the discount?
Thanks in advance.

Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc

This is a council ticket?
You're better off going to the council tickets forum at Pepipoo.com.
We only really deal with private ones here.0 -
As above, pepipoo.com is the best place for advice with council tickets. You will need an email address to register, but Hotmail accounts don't work for some reason..
Read the FAQs then post both sides of your redacted PCN before posting your query.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -

It is re-offered if an appeal is received by day 13, the discount remains frozen and will be re-offered in the rejection letter.
But I would always appeal a Council PCN all the way; almost all are winnable.
Never pay and appeal (you can't do both).
Pepipoo posters will tell you if you have solid grounds to appeal. Don't use a Hotmail email for pepipoo registration and never post a new thread there without pics of BOTH SIDES of the PCN, all small print.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks all. I've appealed by email and have a receipt email from them. If I've heard nothing by day 12 or 13 I'll ring the council and just confirm the advice offered by Coupon-Mad. First ticket I've had in donkey's years; I honestly thought I was legally parked.Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc0

You don't need to ring them to confirm - never ring about anything relating to any PCN - the back of the PCN (small print) tells you the discount will be re-offered.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
