Heathrow long term parking

Options
Trying to decide between driving to Heathrow and paying for long term car park for two weeks, over getting a taxi there and back and leaving the car at home. We have. Quote for about £40 earther way from where we are staying to Heathrow.

How much are the options for long term car park please?

Isn't there one option to park her which is more expensive and a cheaper option where a bus takes you to the car park?

Try Purple Parking. They're very good and reasonably priced with a bus option to the terminal.

I take it you have heard of Google and other search engines? If you type in heathrow parking you'll get answers to your question. But to save your fingers and wear and tear on your keyboard, here is the offical airport site.

  • TBH £40 each way is likely to be cheaper than parking for 2 weeks and and being dropped off at departures and picked up from arrivals VS the hassle driving, finding long term parking, parking and getting shuttle bus to the terminal with cases and then repeat on return.

    No brainer...Taxi!
I am just thinking out loud - nothing I say should be relied upon!

  • Taxi likely to be cheaper but make sure you pre book return or take their details otherwise if you get one at the airport may cost a lot more.

It's also on the London Underground which is even cheaper depending on where you are based.

    Not quite

    Just park £40 total
    Free London Bus

    No brainer IMHO

I think it also depends on how far you are flying. If you've travelled for hours, hardly slept and are jet-lagged, being driven home by someone else is a very good idea.

I use JustPark quite a lot and like it. Very MSE! So good option.

However, the prices are higher in peak travel periods. Circa £55 cheapest I got and many more expensive once that one had gone.

So it could be that being picked up at the door and dropped off and same in on the way back is you preferred way to go on holiday for an extra £20-30.

Both are viable and maybe it depends on finances, your mobility and as above the length of your flight and number of bags to lug and of course any children to cater for. And if it is raining!
