The Northern Rock still exists. It is now called NRAM.

The Cheshire Building society became part of Nationwide.

I am glad I have seen this post, I also wish to claim against Cheshire Building Society. I hadn't realised they had gone (gone to Nationwide that is). I took out a mortgage 20 years ago but had not realised we were paying mortgage protection on it until recently when I found some old statements.0

What is the problem with paying mortgage protection?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
