Tough Dog Bed?

Options
Hi
I'm looking for a good quality strong bed/mattress/bean bag for my dog. He's a bit of a chewer and with his adult teeth coming through this has made the situation worse. I was looking for a bed that would stand the test of time. I'd appreciate any help i can get. I have a budget of around £40 max, i know it's a big ask but maybe there are some offers out there! I'm just struggling to find them. Thanks.

As the owner of a very heavy footed bull terrier, I'm not sure such a thing exists. Beanbag bed was quite good, but got flattened over time so I had to buy new filling. Everything else gets holes scratted in it fairly quickly.
Plastic bed and vetbed, cheap duvets or charity shop blankets for me now.

Definitely a plastic bed. ATM my dog has one that is a size too large with a cheapo Wilko fabric bed inside for warmth in the winter. In the summer he'll go back to a Vetbed and a cheapo fleece blanket in it.

years ago my dog slept in a wicker basket... i think its natural for them to sleep on a hard surface.
maybe get the dog this so he can watch TV. and get a special remote control so he can change channel with his pawswillow-bed-settee-dark-cushion-1442-p[ekm]800x784[ekm].jpg

Ahhh, yes, this corker of a problem. We've spent a stupid amount of money on beds as our dog worked on her PhD in chewing. Some only lasted a few days before being walked to the bin. Only this one bed survived any length of time. We've recently bought a bigger one for our dog. Otherwise, it's towels, bathmats and blankets only as vetbed is great for pulling out in clumps.

In a quick search I found chew-proof dog beds but they are all £100+

  • We go through at least a bed a month, found blankets were the best but the smell was awful. At the moment we've just given up and buy a £6 bed every month or so. Our Max just shreds them, not even sure why tbh. During the day when he's locked up he has a king size quilt that he can rag around and do whatever he wants to. At night he tends to sleep on our bed but has a cheapo dog bed on the floor for when hes chewing on something. Maybe try different beds throughout the house? Max didn't chew on one quite so much when he had more than one to focus his attention on.
