Kenwood Spares and Repairs

I recently bought a replacement food processor bowl AT647 for my Kenwood KMC010 but when I fitted it the drive shaft wouldn't turn any of the attachments e.g. the blade

I then bought what was called a processor buffer pack. I could see no place to put these other than the cavity in the base of the drive shaft. Again no success.

When I went to the Amazon they say the AT647 fits the Kenwood KMC010. However, the Kenwood site says no longer available while espares search box says it does not fit

I'm wondering two things
Have I bought the wrong bowl.

Or do I need a new drive shaft. Do these wear out over time with the puttin on and taking off. Costs are mounting and to buy a complete new unit would cost cc

I'd appreciate your feedback and many thanks for any advice you can offer

Kevin
