Car Renewal Due <1 month before 25th

Options
Hi everyone,

Just a quick question avoutcar insurance renewal. I know that the quotes generally come down when a person turns 25.

Unfortunately my insurance is due in March when my birthday is the start of April. I was just wondering if anyone had had any luck negotiating this with your insurer? I'm going to call and try but any tips, or flexible insurers would be very welcome. I've got full no claims and never had an accident or issue so there's no problems, just bad timing.

Thanks

    hi

i d advice usuing comparising sites, you put your details in and its gives you a quote from a lot of insurance companies(though not all) and bingo you can see(hopefully) that you can beat your renewel quote
then you can either accept the quote given or ring your current insurance provider see if they will beat the qoute or you can change-just rmeeber to cancel your renewel if you decide to leave( dont wanan get charged twice)

Im sure martin has done some pages about car insurance so maybe search the site for info?

    hope this helps

Do you know how much your renewal is ?

    Maybe ask your insurer.

Turning 25 doesn't make a vast difference to the premium (do some dummy quotes as a 24 year 11 month old and as a 25 yr 0 month old to see what difference the month makes)

What does change at 25 is the compulsory excess for young drivers drops out. That is from the birthday, not the policy start date

Can you not auto-renew, and then not drive for a month? Take out a new policy after your birthday?

Bear in mind That will involve SORN as well.
