Car Hire CDW tips/help please

    Sorry for the delay, but thanks for all the responses.
    I'm very familiar with the US, but it's probably 7 years since I have been.
    I used to have a US drivers licence until 9/11, now that's all changed, but no matter. I can't tell you how many times I picked a one way from the Airport and dropped it off at home (in Fl.)
    But this trip is different
    Not to Fl. btw
    But to NE.
    I had looked at making a reservation with one of my online accounts in US
    But the details on CDW?LDW concerned me
    Previously it never concerned me because I was covered by my own US car insurance.
    This will not be the case on this trip.

    So as it turns out. If you book via Expedia or Car Rentals
    You are fully covered and the excesses are Zero
    It's more expensive, but less to worry about
