Mortgage Deed

Hi,

I have received mortgage deed from my solicitor. I am abit confused where to sign. It is a joint mortgage.

1st page
2nd page

The first page is to do with sole trader so I guess I will leave that blank.

2nd page covers Ltd company and partnership.

Because it is a joint BTL I think it will be signed in partnership section - is that right?

Executed as a deed by - Who's name will go in here
Insert name of partner - Should I put my and other half name in here.
Insert name of partnership leave it blank
On the dotted line - Me and my other half will sign

Thanks

Check with your solicitor (who should really have given you better instructions).

But I would guess you're a partnership, so both sign with one witness.

    Thanks for replying back.

That's what I thought. The form is not well designed in my opinion. Who's name goes under Executed as a deed by?

Whoever signs it is executing it. So you (and your partner) are executing it.

When we got ours the solicitor had written in pencil on the deed quite clearly what we needed to do. It will probably save a lot of hassle if you double check with the solicitor.
