If they query it with you, you can say that you took over at 12 as that is when he left / said he was leaving.
Is there normally a machine where you would punch your time card, and if so, is there any reason why someone can't use thatwhen they leave early?
I would have thought that a manager seeing that the only discrepancies come on days when this person has written down their time rather than punching out would be a red flag and would incline them to believe you - from ypur description it sounbds as though you can't use the time clock as you arenot punhcing in or out, but there is no reason why his card should be handwritten rather than punched for those times.
I would not mention his card unless you are specfically asked and then don't make it an accusation, more a "I did hapopen to see his card and noticed that he'd written 12.30 not 12 but I assumed it was an oversight and that he would notice and correct it when he gave his card in."All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0 -

If asked "I don't look at others cards it is none of my business"
Everyone should put them in the slots time stamp side hidden.0
