Took an annual policy with Staysure for my elderly Father who had numerous existing conditions. They ticked all the boxes for him with cover and price.

He has not had to make a claim so cannot comment on the aftersales claim side.

You might look at Explorer Travel Insurance- 0800 043 4003 (weekdays only)
The agency they use for claims was very quick once they received my paperwork last year. Decision made in 5 working days.
I have just taken out the annual policy- platinum level. If you do it online you save 10% (but I wanted to be sure I didn't mess up the medical screening questions!)

I'm thinking that treatment next week will make the difference ie cost of insurance before treatment and after. Could the insurance wait?

We also found explorer insurance ( https://www.explorerinsurance.co.uk/ ) the cheapest for an over 70 with some health problems. They've also been the cheapest for me on some occasions, although now I have insurance packaged with my bank account (cheaper still for regular travel).

Have you tried All Clear? They give you several different quotes for different companies. Note though that they refuse to cover at all if you have any unconfirmed diagnosis.

I was about to suggest All Clear. They let you add different conditions so you can declare all of the issues, and then will give you quotes
