Cancelling a switch?

Hi all!
Not sure if anyone can help? I am so angry with HSBC and their lack of communication during my account set-up and switch that I have decided to switch to a different bank instead. To my knowledge, the switching process hasn't begun yet as I haven't been into the branch to finalise my application with HSBC (only just been told that I need to do this).
Does anyone know if I can cancel the switching process at this stage so that I can go elsewhere?

Yes. You can cancel the switch at any point up to 7 working days before your switch date. The sooner you cancel the better however.urs sinserly,

Thanks Juicy - given that the account hasn't even finished being set up, and I haven't been given a switch date, I am guessing it won't be a problem then. Hopefully it won't take long to stop so that I can then apply to first direct. They actually picked up the phone instantly when I rang, rather than me being stuck in a queue for nearly 10 minutes before eventually hanging up!0 -
