Hi There,
in the past week or so, every time I try to search for an item on Ebay, it initially loads the results but then redirects to this page https://uk.search.yahoo.com/yhs/errorhandler?hspart=avg&hsimp=yhse-1&type=ff.51.w10.dns.04-03.gb.avg._.0117tb¶m1=rVHLbtwwDPyVXqybDT1syXvQIenGRYEcimzanGWK2riIH5W8Tvr3pWyg5x4KEOYMwaHoIQzeFqZ30BovApRKSlXWIEPZw4mXHGQTTr2WXITCeAbjQgIuhFl75q2oG82N4JyCM5_s3Y8v7M1NV4sTG6mzOSkJGHpAwNoAtA68JxVvsG6lkyXn3qPWOkBQKNoTB4MeDZie106jazS41jvF8rvv640t0YbINltXqtKVbBr2-RYjTus3d8XvT4_2dV2XQrlCBorxd0IX4bVy27WCeaTSQn2Jsp9S5dLyUahAswvlaXohdboSpAx7rZCNuf8nc6jxTLJxl_23386LjMd6h-lU8IkYGU1wI_TXCOLZeirhRHiJhELMAgK0oy65LKWgTTOhpO4E3xOnog5zHI_Bl3OX9XAwSfgXwWUAsk3f4lvEQHz3OavzwG7_HC0708nRFTyZzC4YN4xfz_b5XpaXh8eufOkehGBPGJAuF_PRspINi5XVqa0khWrZnOzLMPn5PX0SnPW2G-jh-YP1m21ExRmgfY43ZD_TAf4A0¶m2=dns_error_catch_search¶m3=ff.51.w10.dns.04-03.gb.avg._.0117tb&q=pics
It doesn't do it if I use Internet Explorer or with any other sites search function (have tried Amazon and a couple of others) It's not a specific item search that triggers it either.
Does anyone have any idea how to stop this happening please? I'm using Windows 10 and running AVG free.
Thank you

Are you using AVG as your anti-virus?Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Run Malwarebytes, you may have some malware and AVG is trying to stop the malware redirecting your ebay search results.

Thank you. Do you also have AVG running? I'm wondering if it's my system specifically or a general incompatability between the two of them.

Yes I am - have done for years without any issues, so this is really puzzling me.

I don't use AVG, but, it looks like it has a 'Safe Search' function and it's that causing the problem possibly.
It may have installed a Firefox Add-on.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

You may not have had any problems, but you may have now, so turning it off and trying your search should prove that one way or the other.

Just done as you advise and the search function is now working :T Next question; how do I get it to work with the AVG running?

There might be an add-on in FF with the same name....Remove it.
If that doesn't work, have a look at your programs and if it has AVG safe search there, uninstall it.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you
