The parking prankster article closes with this:The Prankster suggests all motorists in this situation contact the British Parking Association and appraise them of the fact so they can investigate. It is a breach of the code of practice to pursue a charge while still with POPLA.

If this does not work, then the motorist can sue APCOA for their money back. They may also have an additional claim for breaches of the data protection act in the region of £250-£750.
is it at an airport (APCOAs favourite hunting ground) or somewhere else.
Until the original poster magicbobson gets back theres not a lot more than can be done or added to help apart form speculationFrom the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"0 -
And so it should be, the prankster has a huge following so the more the merrier
Still no excuse for lifting from here and not putting a link to here whereby others affected could get full advice. His is just to complain to BPA! No mention of all the comprehensive advice to be found here!

I am putting together a letter of complaint to the Chief Legal Officer of GWR about Apcoa and warning him that his employer is likely to be attending a Count Court as co-respondent in a DPA claim in the near future. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

Be interesting to hear the reply.
I think there is massive mileage and potential with DPA.
It might make the likes of Gladstones and BWLegal think twice but there again, not too sure of their intelligence level0 -
There's nothing in that link you posted that isn't in this thread.
In fact it just looks a post designed to drive traffic in that direction!
Not quite sure what the problem is here. This forum regularly cross references with PP's excellent blog and vice versa and it does contain information currently not in this thread, not in the least:The judge stated that my disputes over whether they had a contract with the land owner would not have stood as none of that matters when the contract was between me and euro parking services.
...which is a pretty scary statement IMHO.0 -

But surely the BPA COP states otherwise. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
