Scottish power

Ok, I'm on a bit of a rant! Just checked my energy account & my bill it almost £300 for a 2 month period. I have a smart meter for electric but waiting for gas to be fitted. I have had so much tourble with SP & seem to always be in debt with them even though i have told them i think there info is wrong. I was in credit of £500 which i didn't realise until they sent me a bill for over £500 and put my in £200 debt, i just cleared it and wanted to change supplier and now i can't as they say i am in debt again. I am so frustrated with them! Having 2 babies means i haven't got much time to sort it either, has anyone else found their bill is shot to bits with scottish power?

I find that difficult to understand.

A debt is not a debt until 28 days after it is formally demanded. That means a bill. If you are paying by DD suppliers rarely send a bill (they send statements).Shortfalls will be addressed usually by an amended monthly DD payment.

If they are objecting to you legitimately switching, complain!

The term "debit " is used , not debt !. Why does nt the OP stay with Scottish Power but make sure you get on their terrific new one year fix, March 2018. Its one of the best in the UK No point in switching to another suppliers inferior rates..Don t switch in revenge, switch tariff ! and you can even collect cashback of £43 ( £30 with Cheapenergy club ) if you go through Simply Switch
