Bank Switching Service Cost Me £

Well, CC company told me it was their policy that all new DD are set up with minimum payments which is why they said they wouldn't refund me. That would seem to imply all their customers who switched and that were previously paying off their CC in full, would hit this issue. So I don't think it is fair to conclude that this is an extremely unlikely event.
It is a niggle and possibly not the most important thing in life, but since it happened to me I first wanted others opinions on whose fault it is and then I thought well if this is standard practice from one CC company, perhaps it affects other companies' DDs too (as indeed one other poster mentioned).0 -
It's may well indeed be the "policy' of the credit card to set up new direct debit with minimum payments but I'm not sure that is the point! You have an existing contract with them and presumably when you took out the credit card you specified that as part of that contract they would take the full amount furthermore the statement also confirms that they are going to take the full amount so whatever their 'policy' is they have made an error in not taking the full amount. Their policy should be to set up a new direct debit equivalent to the old direct debit. I think you would win if you complain against them0
