Should I be still trying?

Hi. I have been in financial difficulties for over a year now but I am starting to see the end in sight. I have checked my credit rating and I am at very low, I have been in unauthorized overdraft territory with my banks and have missed payments and been cut off with virgin media and my mobile phone a few times and made late payments with my car insurance.I am in arrears with my credit card but have been struggling each month to make the payments to avoid a default because I am still hoping that I can get into a better position so that I can get a new mortgage at some point. However I am wondering if I should still be doing this since my credit rating is so low anyway? I know if I default I will have 6 years before I can apply for a decent mortgage but is it worth keeping up these payments when I have this rating, which might stay for how? Long anyway?
Also are people offering ivos on commission? I was trying to explain all this to the guy offering me one and he seemed very keen to get me on one without giving a clear answer to my questions.

If you have not yet defaulted, then keep paying.
Ignore your credit score. Focus on keeping up to date with your payments and clearing the debt.

There are debt management companies that make money on doing your finances, your best bet is a free helpline service who have your best interest at heart not their commission0
