Credit check verification fail

Hello,
I've been having a problem recently where credit checks "fail" because the company is unable to verify my identity. This prevented me being able to hire a car, I get "verification fail" when I try and log in to the MSE credit club and I'm about to move house and am worried I'll fail the reference for the tenancy application as a consequence.
I'm pretty sure the problem is that I've moved house a lot (twice in the last ~12 months). I try and update everything and my electoral roll information has always been up to date, but there was a lloyds bank account I use for savings that I forgot to change. I've changed it now but we questions are:
1. How long should it take for an address change to propagate from my bank to credit check companies (like Experian)?
2. Is there any way I can confirm what it is that is causing the failure to find my file? I'm guessing it's the bank account address but it would be good to know for sure.
3. Is there anything else I can do to help resolve this issue ASAP?
Thanks,
Matt

Have you tried to register with any other CRA?0

I have also signed up directly with Experian and with noddle. Both of these work without issue.0

Firstly the MSE credit club verification problem you are having is an issue quite a few people seem to be having. As you probably know this uses data from experian and the fact you are not having any issue directly with experian suggests the fault lies somewhere with the MSE credit club. You are not the only one I have seen this happening to.
You didn't say if you have the free version of experian or the paid version. If you have the paid version you need to check all the details meticulously. You can even check most of these details with Clearscore and noddle also. Check the accounts you have are showing correctly and check current/previous address/electoral role information and spelling.
To answer your questions:
1. Your addresses should update on your report within 4-8 weeks.
2. As I mentioned above its important to check the information held by all 3 CRA's is fully accurate so check Experian, Equifax/Clearscore & Callcredit/Noddle
3. As above0 -
Why can't you show copies of your council tax bill or a recent utility bill?0

I can and did, but the car hire place (thrifty) refused to proceed unless the automated check with Experian could find me, which it didn't. I'm worried the estate agents will be similarly inflexible.0 -

Thank you, I'll use the report feature on Noddle to fix up the inconsistencies. I do have the free version of Experian, so I can't see the details there. I might pay the £15 and try fixing up the mistakes there too.0 -

I would sign up to clearscore also just check everything is in order.0 -

Would Thrifty really stop hiring out cars if Experian had some kind of long-term outage? Same question with the estate agents.
I haven't been on the electoral roll for years. I have rented numerous houses over the last 10 years and last year I got a mortgage.
CRAs add nothing at all to these sorts of situations and you should be fine with just the council tax bill and a recent utility bill.
Honestly, the world worked fine for donkeys years before CRAs. I can't believe people today actually pay these parasites money to tidy up their files for them.0
