Following all the recent conroversy regarding hedge funds and calls for the government to act can anyone explain in simple terms exactly what was happening. I know the owners or principles of Hedge Funds were claiming they were paying less tax than their cleaning lady. If I recall correctly they were also claiming non UK residency to acheive this.
