 Hello my lovelies!
My Mum has given me a massive collection of knitting binders to sell for her on eBay - and I really want to help her out, but I'm a bit nonplussed about how I'm going to post them.
They weigh about 2.5kgs each and there are 8 of them!
They contain a wealth of knitting knowledge, and I know somebody will want them, but I don't even know where to start on finding a way to post them!
I'd really appreciate any input you guys can give me.
Cheers honeys.

Standard parcel service should cover them up to £32 and be the cheapest option to send them.
Unless you want to dabble in the collection services available on ebay etc.0 -

Standard parcels will take up to 20kg, so you might be tight on that weight with packaging..but if you can keep them below 20kg it would cost you £13.33 and would cover up to £34 of loss. Makes sure if you do use standard parcels that you can actually lift the package, and also check which post offices take it as some don't.
Payperdrop on ebay would take a parcel up to 34kg for £5.99, but you do need to sit around and wait for it to be collected and you would need to warn your buyer in the auction that it will go by courier as many people can't be in to wait for a parcel.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. That advice is also valid for Royal Mail & Parcelforce where the package will not go into the letterbox.
In these situations, I use Pharos International who sell UPS services. The excellent thing is that I can specify that the parcel will be ready for collection after a certain time eg ready after 15:00 (max), this gives me most of the day to do what I want rather than wait in.0 -
 Thank you my lovelies! :A
You've made it sound pretty simple and straightforward, and I feel much less stressed out about it all now. (I really didn't want to let my mum down.)
I'm going to get hold of a good strong box to send them in, weigh it as packed and look into all of those options that you posted.
Chuffed!
I'm massively grateful, thank you!

I'd use a DHL service through PayPerDrop on eBay for £5.99
Covers upto 31.5Kg & 120cm x 60cm x 60cm.

only thing in RM's favour is generally the local office will be nearby and the collect from post office option.
i dont have a car just now and couriers with offices 7+ miles away are a pain where i used to be able to collect0 -
Staples also do a cheapy parcel delivery service, might be worth looking into if you have a store near you! Some people create their own storms....then get upset when it rains!0

MHDirect Couriers are who i have been using for parcelforce, but i now use an even cheaper company through ebay called home-textiles who do Parcelforce 48 for £5.99 and Parcelforce 24 for £6.99.
Same prices as payperdrop and its not with DHL (who in my opinion are useless, even though a lot disagree!)0
