Car insurance claim from 2014
Hi all,
Insured my car as normal and have now received a letter stating that i failed to disclose a 2014 claim....i have never had a accident or made a claim!
How do i find details out about this supposed claim against me? and i have not moved in 20 years surely i would have been notified?

Ring the insurer at the time and ask them

You can make a data request, costs about £10-£15, you get a list of every claim you have made, you can then go to your insurer at the time and request an explaination.0 -
Ask the letter writer to give you the details (did you contact your insurer back in 2014 regarding a loss of some kind but didn't proceed with a claim? They do record such reports even though no claim was made and you are required to disclose losses experienced as well as actual claims)0
