I take it then you are a cable user? These prices are for cable users and not BT users which has meant for some time that 1899 was cheaper.

    DONT PANIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are quoting the prices for calls if you are using the 0808 or 0207 access, these have been in place for sometime.Calls using the18866 access no remain the same.

Okay, you are right, its the links on the webpage that take you to these prices.

Click on the 'Rates as a .txt file' or the 'Printer Friendly version' link and they are the rates you will get. The real rates are still

    UK fixed lines 0.0
    UK mobiles (sat/sun) 3
    UK mobiles (weekdays) 12
    UK (070 Personal) 20
    UK (0845 Local) 4
    UK (0870 National) 9

Sorry for the false alarm.

Still more expensive than 1899.com though

    UK mobiles (weekdays) 10

pjwhitby, perhaps you could edit the thread title to something more appropriate, like "New Call Rates For 18866 for NTL/Mobile users ONLY". And amend your post ;)

Or perhaps the thread could be removed altogether.

    Only too happy to oblige.

Its the incorrect url links on the website that caused me panic, hopefully 18866 can correct the webapges as well.

I can't do this, but I don't see why it should be deleted now that it has been edited to be correct :p

I leave my threads fate in the lap of the mods

Unfortunately the Cable and Mobile Access Rates are not new they have been operative since 15/9/04, i do believe. So the heading is still misleading, no doubt the moderator will sort it.

Rather than delete the thread I am going to lock it as this info has already been posted on Home Phones in various guises.

Have a read at this thread here and welcome to the Telephone Boards and MSE :D
