Good electric shower: Aqualisa? Mira?

We have been advised to fit an electric shower in our new loft en suite, so it can be used at the same time as the downstairs shower which is fed by the combi, via a thermostatic mixer.
Frankly I've never encountered a good electric shower in my life, but assumed they must exist somewhere - at an expense perhaps.
Which? rates Aqualisa Quartz as best, but then you go online and there are plenty of complaints about them, specially in terms of longevity, or lack of. Likewise Mira ones get mixed reviews.
Does anyone have a strong and reliable electric shower? Are 10.5kw showers noticeable better than 9.5kw?

I've always had good experiences of Triton showers, always found Mira showers to be problematic. Also found that an additional kW is noticeable and worth it - especially in winter when the incoming water is very cold.0

Theyre all much the same, but you're not wrong about them all being naff - even at 10.5kw.0 -
A 10.5kwh shower will have a flow rate about 10% greater than a 9.5kwh one for the same temperature rise of water flowing through it. It's just basic physics, you can heat up about 5 litres/min of water by 30C at that sort of power input. Which is why there are no 'good' electric showers...For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.0

I don't know anything about showers as love my bath, but my mother has a Mira shower in her wet room. The carers give her a shower every Monday but about once every 4 or 5 weeks I get a phone call from the carers that's it's bleeping and not working and they have to try and finish washing her with a jug. My husband and I go down and fiddle around with it and get it working, so don't know if it's the carers. I was told it was quite expensive to get Mira out as company was down south so I haven't bothered getting in touch with them but it's not satisfactory0

Have you considered getting a better combi?"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Have you considered getting a better combi?
No.
Just discovered this German Grohe shower that seems to get a good balance of positive reviews -

Electric showers are connected to the cold mains, combi boilers & therefore your thermostatic shower are connected to the cold mains, the cold water flow rate may well be effected the more you have on at once especially the higher you go i.e. your new loft ensuite so this may effect anything you fit up thereI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
Mira air boosts are about as good as they get electrically . If you don't use Both suites at the same time I'd just bung in a good mixer shower from hansgrohe and be done with itHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0

yes understood - but that would only be worse running the second shower off the boiler, no?0
