POLL: Opinions on new Logo design

Options
Hi, I have had several logos designed for my business over the past week and have narrowed the selection down to these two by asking family and friends what they thought.
I'd now like to ascertain what people think of these. Theres not much difference between apart from the font. But what do you think???
I've posted them at:

http://www.awardwinningfinance.co.uk/index.html

I have tried and tried to put them in thjis post using the A-Z guide but cant : (

Thanks a lot to everyone who votes - it will be very very helpful and much appreciated!!!

Hmm.. I think the style of the times new roman font is better, BUT, the capital letters make it feel a bit off-balanced. How about times new roman, but with either all caps, or all lowercase...

    Just my thoughts :)
  • Thanks, I did try an all caps logo but decided against it in the end.
    Thanks for voting.

You could also fine tune this design using either emboldened tahoma, "verdana" or Arial Rounded (quite a bold font anyway)

I prefer the top one. :) Fwiw, I think it's sharper looking and more 'official' somehow.

My thoughts - I think the top one looks more 'modern' and the bottom one more 'traditional'. For a financial product I would therefore go with TNR.

Strangely enough I think my impression is the opposite of the previous posters, sorry. So that probably isn't much help!
I live in my own little world. But it's okay. They know me here.
  • bump! - last day to vote! I'll decide tomorrow morning.

    Agree with November.

As you say there isn't much between the two. You should think about the (writing) style in relation to your organisation and the connotations each one will give out i.e. bottom one longer established and traditional etc. Hth.

I agree the top one looked sharper...the bottom one made my eyes play tricks...they were kinda clever, no they weren't....sorry...seriously the top one was clearer then the bottom!

Top one. This is more open or in design terms, its cleaner. This gives a perception of a company is friendly, open and honest etc.. I hope thats you!!
