I find it very therapeutic writing mine, it helps clear my mind and helps me track whats going on with my money

I also find other peoples daries very inspriing and motivating and personally I think they're one of the best things on the forum boards

Tooties I am with you I never read them either!!!
I don't know I see the word diary and its personal and I would rather seek out a topic where someone needs help than wade through someones personal stuff!0 -
I have only just started my diary but am finding it really helpful.
It gives me a chance to really focus on my mission and sound out ideas.
If you wanna start one go for it, I don't really care if people think mine is boring, I started it for my benefit.
I've found keeping a diary is helping my money saving. In a weird way, I want to 'prove' I can do it, and really enjoy being able to post great savings in my diary:eek: Total debt £21,000 :eek:Weight loss to date - 2 st, 2lb:j0 -

I definitely think they help. It's also nice to be able to keep track of your progress. I don't think I would have done all that I have without my debt diary and if anyone is bored by it, well they don't have to read it, do they? I do read a few of the others as well and quite enjoy reading about other people's ups and downs - it all helps you to feel you're not alone.0

I keep mine as a way to keep a tab on myself, and I enjoy looking back and seeing how far I've come. It makes you feel like you're not alone, and also ha the upside of having people say 'Hey, you know how you're doing XYZ, well how about doing it ABC instead' - you get advice on areas that you hadn't even considered. It's a good way to let off steam amongst people who know exactly how it feels, and don't look at you like a psycho when you mention punching Carol Vorderman. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

I would definately do one. Mine is my little bit of space on here - a bit like my own room where I can mull things over! It's nowhere as interesting and witty as others but I like it & some regulars contribute which gives some additional support & encouragement on what will or me be a very long road to being debt free!
