Home insurance - 14 day cancellation period

I just have a question about the 14 day cancellation period for insurance policies - and when it ends.
I bought a new insurance policy on Saturday 21 January online at about 3pm and was able to access the policy documents online immediately. It says you have fourteen days from when you received your policy documents or entered into the contract whichever is later to cancel it to get a full refund with no cancellation charges.
When does this 14 day period end? Is this Saturday (at 2.59pm or midnight?) - exactly two weeks after - or this Friday (at 2.59pm or midnight?).
Just wanted to check.
Thanks for your help.

It's the later of 14 days after inception or when you get the documents.
You don't mention in your post when the policy is due to start?
I doubt the insurer will be precise with 2:59 on the 14th day, I'd imagine they would allow it up to close of business or 23:59 on the 14th day. But, ultimately; only they can answer so you'll have to ask them.
Out of interest can I ask why you want to know?0 -

It was a new policy and despite me stating online when I applied my patio door locks were of a certain type the policy certificate requires different locks. I am only a tenant - so I have no power to change the patio door and locks to comply (have asked my landlord but it would be too costly) - so I have no proper theft cover on this policy. A bit sneaky of the insurer frankly to add that after you buy. Most of the furniture is my landlords anyway.
I have since found a new policy to cover me that works for my locks - but just wanted to check on the dates as I will be busy tomorrow and they close at 8pm weekdays.
I am assuming given I entered into the contract and got my documents on Sat 21st at 3pm the 14 days ends this Saturday 4th?0 -
Esure by any chance? I filled all the forms in and declared no window locks and when the policy arrived they had sneakily added window locks being fitted.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

Whichever insurer it is, what does their wording say about cancellations?
Can you email them notice? It prevents the possibility of an argument about 3pm on the 14th day...0
