Combi rattle

Hi All,
Our Biasi combi has started making a rattling noise when the hot water is running, it sounds like paper clips being shaken in a tin can.
The water temp is on the highest setting and it takes an age to fill the bath up, the water is only reading 55 degrees on maximum temperature is that normal?
I also find that if you open the bath tap full bore the temperature drops significantly and you have to close the tap to below half way to get a decent water temp.
We live in a hard water area and the boiler was installed in 2007, before we bought the place.
Does it sound like it needs a new DH/CH Heat exchanger?
Thanks,

Sounds like the boiler is getting too hot, so yes your plate hex could be scaled or sludged up, the incoming water temp is very cold so you will have to turn the flow down to get it hot, you could either get it cleaned or replaced but really you need it diagnosed as to whether that is the fault, unfortunately your boiler make isn't very good so that doesn't help eitherI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
