Timeinspain has anyone used them?

I have seen a property for rent in Spain via clickstay. The owners also have their own website where the property is listed at £200 cheaper.

the website is http://www.timeinspain.com

I have made an enquiry and the reply refers to a 30% deposit via bank transfer which has immediately made me suspicious. Does anyone have any experience of booking through this company? I can understand that booking direct with them rather than through an agent means they can offer it a bit cheaper but the bank transfer bit seems unusual and I am well aware of the various scams along these lines and how fraudsters can intercept even genuine websites. At least with clickstay you can pay by credit card.

Just wondered if anyone has used this company at all?

    I'm confused;

    who or what is clickstay?
    Are you saying the owner's website is timeinspain.com as that appears to be an agency site?
    If not, what is the URL for the owner's website?
    Who did you make the enquiry to, one of the agencies or the owners?
    If you can establish that the owners speak English then give them a call, that's often the quickest way of getting a feel for their genuineness (or not!)
    If it were me I'd be looking for a private rental whose owners live in the UK, who can be contacted and verified easily.
    The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....

    Between family members, friends and myself, we've used them 8 or 9 times.

    Mainly to stay in and around Estepona.

    No problems at all - good communication, good properties. They are locally based so can be physically there when you check-in to the properties. Technically I would consider this a safer option than renting blindly from a property owner that may not even be based in Spain.
