18866 and removing withheld number

We have got our telephone number ex-directory and when you phone somebody up it comes up as withheld number. One of my friends has just had a service put on their BT phone where it will not accept withheld numbers.
Using 18866 can you put 1470 (I think that is the code) so that the number is showing up as a recognised number and if so, where do you put the number - i.e. before 18866 or after, so that I can still take advantage of the 2p call.
Hope I have explained it OK.
Thanks

The code is 1470 that releases your CLI (caller line identity). I'm not sure if you should put 1470 before dialling the 18866 prefix or before dialling the number you want. You may have to try it both ways. One little problem though i'm sure I read on these forums that some calls during busy periods are routed internationally and therefore your number could be withheld in these circumstances.0

Put 1470 before the prefix, so dial 147018866 etc.
To withhold the number on a line which gives it out dial 14118866 etc.0 -
Thank you both.0
