RBS Black Reward Account

The salary information is obtained from CRAs. Banks track direct credits and forward the info to CRAs, they take care of creating a "profile" with the monthly supposed income. I believe a SAR (not credit report) requesting this specific information would reveal the details.
In regards to the upgrade, a call to private24 should allow you to book an appointment. Otherwise just walk in a branch and say that you'd be interested in an account upgrade, I sorted mine out that way.
Thanks AlexPF,
That is what I had read before.
I still believe that for premium accounts they will check that database or ask you to bring three months payslips and/or P60. If you have been with them for a while, paying in your salary, they can also estrapolate that from their recorsds.
Everybody conditions can change considerably in a short period of time but I asked the OP if it was Salary or just deposits because of the above and because I remembered that after exchanging messages on another thread, checked the OP post history (some user seem to forget what they posted before) and in addition to show a fascination for status (premium) Accounts and Cards, stating that he was not in that league by far, he also specifically posted about cycling money to achieve premium status with a different bank.
The income requirement of £100k is indeed gross, so if the OP is now earning that salary, I cannot see why RBS would not upgrade him.0
