Generally, what is accepted overrun for service intervals.
500 miles? 1000 miles?
Got lease car and I thought service interval was 10000 but its 9000 (yes I should have checked) and its already 9300.

So what is the service interval?
If it is 10,000 you've still got time to get it done.
It'll be mikes or time whichever comes first. If the mileage has come up quicker than you expected, what's the penalty for excess mileage?0 -
What's the issue, if the service interval is 10,000 and you're currently under it, book it in now.
FYI, if it's a fixed interval then it'll usually be 10,000 miles or 12 months, whichever is soonest.0 -
9000 sorry (edited original now)0

You should be OK if you get it done asap.0

paulfoel - it's not usually just a mileage - it's a mileage OR a time, whichever happens SOONEST. So whether you go over the mileage or not may not matter...0

VW? On my Golf the standard service is 12 months or 9,000 miles. The long service interval plan is 24 months or 18,000 miles. (As others have said above ... whichever comes first).
If it is 12 months/9,000 miles then get it serviced ASAP ... at 9,300 you're still within the normally-allowed "buffer". For example, many 3rd party warranties* will allow 500 miles buffer on the service interval.
* I fell foul of this once with a previous car. We had a (driving) holiday in the UK which meant when it came to the car getting its (pre-booked) service it was 600 miles over the service mileage. When the clutch developed a fault the warranty company basically said "bog off" because the service was done 100 miles outside their buffer limit ... even though the clutch wouldn't have been checked at the service anyway!0 -
Go on you'll have to explain that one.
Your car manual states servicing is every 10,000 miles, or 12 months, whatever is soonest.
You drive your car for 12 months, and do 8,000 miles.
You must service the car, because you've hit 12 months.
OP states servicing should be at 9,000 miles, but does not state a time period. I bet there's a time period too.0
