The loan and your student accounts are two separate things: your loan can't be taken away because the banks won't tell them even if they DO close a student account.

Ive got 2 student accounts but ive never used the HSBC one and never put anythig in it i used it for a bit, i just blagged to them tellin them my dad was funding my education, but it does not matter really, they lose more money if u close the account
