Closing an ISA

Options
Hi

I have several old cash ISA's which no longer have any funds in. All funds have now been transferred to my offset mortgage account (which was my aim all along).

I would like to close my unused ISAs currently held with HSBC and Barclays. However, there isn't a huge amount of information on this-does anyone have any experience doing this?

Do I loose any previous tax benefit that i gained whilst they held my money? Do I need to repay this?

Thanks
JAM13

You won't lose any benefit; you may even gain a little residual interest.

Contact the banks and ask them to close your empty ISAs.
