Has that ever been tested in court in a situation similar to that of the OP?It appears that these lights have been deemed inherently faulty.
If that's the case then the seller is not only responsible for the replacement, but also any cost associated with that.
As all the wiring is still in place, the supplier could argue that replacing the light units does not require an expensive electrician.0 -

Maybe a handyman could/should do it, perhaps the seller could send their own man out.

We've just bought 2 of these for our kitchen:

Thanks all. I will look into these advice on claiming back costs for the electrician. I'm not confident enough to do it myself so would not take risks hence my asking the electrician to do it!:beer:0
