Maintaining decreasing credit balances

Just a thought - how picky are credit card providers about paying a credit balance onto a card at the start of the month and then using it up (and perhaps more, obviously then using up the 'credit' part) throughout the remaining month?
I know that some providers charge a fee if you maintain a credit balance, but I'm thinking that if you use up the credit balance and actually use the credit facility too each month, would they still be awkward about this?

No idea on your question for specific companies, but by and large you would have zero protection against fraud if a credit balance was used on your account fraudulently0

AFAIK, Egg Money is the only card that encourages +ve balances (and pays credit interest on them). Halifax expressly forbids the creation of a +ve balance and may (read will) return funds over and above what you owe to the source account.
Indeed, one recent poster had their Halifax account suspended (whilst they were in America if memory serves) for such a breach of the T&C's.0 -
Hmmm. Oh well, it was just a thought. Better just stick to Egg Money in the meantime.0

I thought that was against most card issuer rules due to risk of 'money laundering'0
