I have just found some paper work from household bank / hsbc from some years back on the ppi it says no but a tick for joint death protection which we was told was compulsory on the term of the loan is this correct please ?? the loan was paid off a long time ago

Life insurance is allowed [ and can be insisted on] depending on the type of loan.

Just personal loan
it says optional payment protection life box is ticked in joint and Accident sickness and unemployment says no.0
