Credit card after re-mortgaging

There's strong advice that when you apply for a mortgage it's good to have been dormant with any new credit card applications - for say at least 6 months to be on the safe side.

Does the reverse also apply? Would re-mortgaging automatically have a negative effect on any credit card applications that might follow shortly after. Even if re-mortgaging reduces monthly payments by a significant amount say 40% - will this provide any positive profile when applying for a new credit card?
- Bearing in mind one of the first questions asked for a credit card application after
residential status (assuming you are a homeowner) is: 'what are your monthly mortgage payments?'

Appreciate MSE people's expertise, nouse and comments in advance.
Thanks

You'll find it more difficult to get a card or any further credit immediately after remortgaging, due to the impact of the changes in credit, new address and ER.

    But the impact wears off.
