Two year old VAX went faulty, they come with a six year warranty.
Emailed VAX, after exchanging a few emails and sending copy of original invoice, new machine sent out
Also received an email saying how much warranty remaining (almost four years) and expiry date

That's good! Two years ago I had a faulty 11 months old Vax and they wanted me to pay £3.95 just for them to send a returns label out.
I'd already tried to return it to Argos, where I'd purchased it from, and they refused to take it back as they have/had an agreement with Vax that all faulty items are dealt with by the manufacturer.

Can't say I have the same impression. Bought a "All Terrain' carpet cleaner because I have hard floors as well as carpets (plus dogs). Within 4 months I needed a new orange squeegee that enabled it to clean hard floors - paid for two from vax customer care, never arrived, they sent another ONE out never arrived. Not been able to order one from anywhere since. They're still selling the all terrains too. As a carpet cleaner its great.., but definitely not all terrain. Won't be buying from VAX again.

Just had to get in touch with Vax customer service as my almost 3 years old Vax vacuum cleaner's motor gets very hot after 5 min use. They are going to send me a new body for the vacuum cleaner, free of charge! Very impressed
