Default and CCJ for the same debt

Evening all,
Hoping someone can confirm if this is correct?
I have a default for £1970 which is registered to a DCA. However, this was then escalated to a CCJ. So I now have on my credit file
1 x Default £1970
1 x CCJ £1970
Is this correct? Also, once my final payment is made to clear the debt I assume the CCJ will be marked paid and likewise with the default?

This is correct and they both will be marked as paid once you pay the CCJ.0

Thank you for confirming this.
Do I need to notify the courts once the CCJ is paid or will the DCA do this?0 -
They should but it varies, so keep your eye on it.0

Thanks Again.
It seems rather unfair to have both on my credit report (to me anyway) Surely it should be one or another right?
Looking at my credit report it looks like I owe two lots of £1,970!0 -
no its not, as it shows you defaulted and still didn't resolve so court action was requiredDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

is the CCJ recent as if you pay within a certain period (used to be 28 days) it is removed from your account, otherwise as other posters have said will show both against the one account and once paid as settled.
