Vodafone Incorrect Default

Hi
Anybody no the address or how to contest a vodafone default notice on my credit file.
17 yo daughter had a contract in my name.
When she turned 18 we cancelled this and she took out her own contract.
Vodafone did not cancel the previous contract. - I've heard this is not uncommon with Vodafone.
Any advice would be gratefully received.

What do you mean that you have canceled it, but they didn't cancel it? Did you get confirmation of cancellation from them? Contact vodafone and ask for clarification, and if that gets you nowhere - escalate it with telecomms ombudsman.0

When you cancelled it with Vodafone did you pay off the balance for the outstanding months?0

You can't phone up and just cancel.
eg. you pay £30 on a 24 month contract and you cancel after 14 months. You still owe them a payment of £130 to fulfil the contract. They could if you fail to pay head for a CCJ for the money. You can't leave a contract when you feel like and stop paying. Your locked into it for 12/18/24 months whatever it is. It was a name but I can't think of it now.
How long was contract, how much and how many months had been paid before you "cancelled?"
If this is the case, Vodafone are in the right
OR
Did Vodafone say they would cancel it, create a new account in your daughters name and add remaining months on? Like they do on upgrades and stuff? If this is the case send them all the proof you have of this.Debt As Of 19/3/2021: £16,973 | Current Debt: £9,322 | 54.9% Repaid0 -

My mum has had a similar problem, and she has 9 defaults on her score now. Vodafone have not been willing to help she gets passed around, easily spent 20+ hours on the phone and she is still in no better of a situation! Better off going to the ombudsman as Vodafone will not admit liability for ANYTHING!0
