RINGO paid for wrong reg

Hello,
Looking for some advice. I was driving my company vehicle for work purposes and had to park at our office in Milton Keynes. The parking is done by using the RINGO parking machines.
I have the RINGO App on my phone, as i was in a rush, i paid £12 for 5 hours using the wrong registration number. I got back to my car and had a car parking fine stuck to the front. I spoke to one of the parking wardens walking around and explained the problem. He said "Ah best just to call or email them and explain what happened, shouldn't be an issue"
I emailed the milton keynes parking email address and explained everything, providing my parking fine, copy of my RINGO app which shows the OLD reg and the NEW reg which they have put the fine against (to show how the mistake happened) and a copy of my receipt for the parking.
They have responded and said they will not consider removing the charge. As the details which i am being fined for is correct.
Can anyone give advise on what to do next ?
I feel angry at myself for making the mistake, but don't see why they wont waive it for such a simple and from Google looks to be a common mistake. Now i have to pay £12 parking + £25 parking fee.
I realise it was a mistake but i still have an invoice for what i have paid, which they haven't offered to refund.
Thanks

£25 is quite low, is it a Council Penalty Charge?
If not a real (Council) one, which company issued a rubbishy impersonation of a PCN?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The biggest mistake you made was thinking this is a fine, and then calling the parking company who now possibly know the driver's details.
What is the name of the parking company please.
Please also read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES then send the relevant template to the parking company. There are two but I can't tell you which because you haven't told us the name of the parking company.
What happened when you complained to your employer about this? Presumably they employ the parking scammers.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
It was a Milton Keynes council on the PCN slip, I emailed PCNenquiries@milton-keynes.gov.uk but I got a response from a company called "indigo park services" saying they won't remove the charge but will reduce to £25 from £50 if paid in 14 days.
My company is just in a temporary office so the parking is nothing to do with them unfortunately, it's an office block with several other companies.
Thanks0 -

In that case you would be better off posting this on pepipoo.com as they are the council parking experts. We tend to deal only with private parking tickets.
Read the FAQs and then post both sides of your redacted PCN over there. You will need an email address to register, but not Hotmail as they don't work for some reason.I married my cousin.
