You won't be refused because of bad credit rating.

You may not get the option of paying on the drip.

So if that's what you wanted, you may have to pay in full - but consider paying in full by credit card (if you have one)

As above you will get insurance but may have to pay the full amount in one go.

The companies that will offer you credit may not be the ones where the premium is the cheapest. And also check the amount of interest they charge. 20 - 30% will add a fair chunk onto your premiium when its a £1000+ policy.

B has a minor acident in her own car, and claims on her own insurance.

Does A have to inform his insurance about B's claim?

    Yes. .

Can you afford to drive a car and maintain it, service, it, MOT and road tax?

If you have bad credit rating have a look at the debt free wannabee forum for tips on improving your credit rating and any debt.
