leaking dishwasher

My Zanussi dishwasher appears to be leaking. Lifted the kickboards and the floor is wet all around underneath full of mould and starting to rot the wooden flooring. It’s only a couple of years old and it has already twice needed someone to come out as the anti-flood device had been activated (once under warranty another outside that which cost me 70 odd quid.

My question is as it has been giving problems do I bite the bullet and buy a higher end brand or pay for someone to fix it again? Don’t really have the time or inclination to mess around with it myself. The door seal looks fine and the leak appears to be from around the back but hard to tell.

Check the plastic nut which holds the bottom spray arm connector to the base is tight, sometimes they work loose which happened to me.

I have no knowledge of plumbing, or how a dishwasher is plumbed in so this answer may be completely useless, but...

Can you check the pipe that feeds in?
One of my friends' washing machine was leaking because it was pushed too far back against the wall causing the pipe to split. Initially it was a tiny leak, but then they came back to a flooded kitchen after the split got considerably bigger.

If it is none of the above, i would get a new one. Not sure how much yours set you back, but the flat we rented had a cheap one that lasted well over the 5+ years we were there (plus the years before we moved in) so you may have just been unlucky with this one.

I also second that you need to check the piping behind.
If the seal seems to be ok, than that would be my next move.

I had a similar problem and it turned out to be the flexible water feed pipe, which after years of just sitting there with water passing through it and having already seen off one dishwasher decided to pass water through the crimp. Saturday evening just before the sheds were due to close (isn't it always) but just made it in time, replaced and all working again before gin o'clock. Examining the flexible afterwards one would have sworn that it was OK but it definitely leaked!
