Mid-sold phone insurance

Hi All

My wife and I were going through our finances when she advised me she was paying for mobile phone insurance. She advised me that the company- Virgin would not give her the contract unless she took it. Anyone know how/if we can claim this back as it seems to be a clear case of mis-selling?:mad:

Thanks

Nobody knows if you can get a refund as none of us work for Virgin and/or know the details of your case. It may be they have a record saying she wanted it, it may be a pressure sale from someone, who knows.

If you feel it was miss-sold then complain to Virgin about it.

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

  • Any complaint about recent insurance where the complainant was told they had to have the insurance is unlikely to succeed because companies now make sure to have a thorough audit trail of such transactions.

Can your girlfriend prove she was told that insurance was mandatory?
    I suspect not.
