HSBC pay in requirements

Hello,

I've had a quick search around on the forums but can't find the answer to this question (sorry if it has been asked before)

The minimum monthly pay in is stated as £1750 a month for the HSBC Advance account (to get the £150 bonus). If my salary was just short of this, could I transfer out a few hundred pounds each month and transfer it straight back in so that the amount paid in each month would exceed the £1750. This account would be with another bank, or I could use my partners account instead. Would this satisfy the monthly pay in requirements?

Thanks

Have you actually opened the HSBC Advance account yet? They're notoriously fussy and picky about who they'll accept, so if your monthly salary is less than £1750 (net) this may harm your chances of being accepted for the account in the first place, assuming you're honest about your financial circumstances when applying.

Just to follow on from this, they do have a reputation for taking the liberty of opening a standard 'Bank Account' instead, so if this happens you may wish to stop them doing so. A request to abandon made within a day or two of notification should suffice.

I meet my various banks requirements by circulating £200 every week. Some folk get paid weekly but over a month would meet the criteria. It is total funds in that count.
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.

Another question on this : my salary comes in very slightly under £1,750 as I have pension payments and season ticket loan taken directly from my salary before it is paid. However, my partner pays around £100-250 into my account (from her NatWest account) every month for shopping bills/social stuff. Would this payment from my fiancee count towards the £1,750/month?
