I have a couple of UUs from last night:
- Lush C Cauldren WDBA probably in my top 5 ever lush items
- Small Decloeur aroma cleanse toner WBA this was really lovely and refreshing0 -
One sample UU from this morning:
Paula's Choice Calm Redness Relief Normal to Oily Moisturiser sample WMB. This was nice, but maybe more of a summer moisturiser.
Eee, I start my new job today, I'm panicking thinking everything will go wrong. I know it will be fine.
Have a good day everyone0 -
sstevo good luck with the new job0

Benefit No Pressure eyeshadow thrown away. Laura Mercier Rose Gold Caviar Stick swapped in. Still going strong.
Smashbox Full Exposure pallette. Pannage getting bigger.
Kat Von D eyeliner. Still going strong. Love this product.
Benefit Dallas blush. Pannage getting bigger.
Lush Lemony Flutter. Again pannage getting bigger. Can't say this actually does anything though.
Which Kat Von D liner is that - I got a free Black Tattoo liner (travel sized I think), with a Debenhams beauty order when they 1st started stocking Kat Von D and love it its great for the upper lash line which I am rubbish at.0 -
sstevo - good luck.
hermia/Deleted_User - I keep bringing items into my daily makeup bag and giving them a whirl, if I really don't like them it's time to let them go, I find actually trying them on my face works best as my opinion can change by the end of the day.
I would ideally like a small makeup collection but there is no way I am going to chuck the rest out, it is a waste of money and that is only part of the problem for me. If I were to have a small collection it would be:
1 foundation
1 tinted moisturiser
1 concealer for blemishes
1 concealer for undereyes if blemish one not suitable
1 powder
2 blushes - one for summer one for winter
1 brown eyeliner
1 black mascara
1 eyebrow pencil/shadow:D
1 sheer plum lip colour
1 lipstick for evenings
2 eyeshadow palette s- something like the Naked and Naked Basics
Still quite a few products but they would all fit in one good sized bag. Maybe one day:DDebt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

I don't think I am capable of having a capsule make up collection I do like choice (although I have rather 2 much choice at the moment). I generally like to have only 1 foundation product, but at the moment I have 2 open + my UD one & Done and 2 sealed. I would prefer to only have 1 Mascara, but ended up with a few freebies, not buying more until these are UU. Would be happy with 1 concealer and 1 powder and a few liners to choose from. Although think I'll always have multiples of everything else. Working towards UU the excess items.0 -
What is this stuff and what does it do?
...interested dude looking to fix up the face
30ml Rosehip Plus Rosehip Oil
50ml Alpha-H Protection Plus spf 50+
30ml Elemis PCMC
150ml Superdrug B Pure Micellar water
30ml Gatineau Futur Plus Eye Concentrate
15ml Hylamide Sub-Q eyes
30ml Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum
200ml Alpha-H Balancing cleanser
40ml Molton Brown Orange & Bergamot hand cream
6ml Pestle & Mortar Hydrate moisturiser
15ml NIOD CAIS
15ml NIOD MMHC
8ml Dr Organic snail gel
6 days of Ole Henriksen 3 Little Wonders set.
A couple of points..... I do not necessarily use all of these things all of the time, swap things in and out as I think my skin needs them/want a change.
I am considerable older that most people who hang out here, in theory I could have children in their late 40's:D so my skin's needs will differ greatly.
I now have more disposable income than ever before in my life (the grey pound :rotfl:) and can afford to try new and more expensive products than ever before.
If I get a few minutes I will add some notes to original post:DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
A couple of UUs
7) Body Shop Satsuma body lotion - very nice, but I wouldn't buy (it was a freebie) as I don't really like smelling like a bowl of fruit!
8) Dove Anti-P. - WBA, HG product. What I'm finding as well though is that I might have thought that I don't like a particular lip colour but paired up with a different eye colour it looks good.
I can see totally see that, but I don't really want to own any make-up that only looks good paired with something else because I know I won't wear it. I am starting to get a similar attitude to clothes. I don't want to own an item of clothing that doesn't look good on its own etc and has to be carefully styled to make it work. One of the reasons I want a capsule make-up collection is because there aren't a huge number of colours/textures of cosmetics that suit me because of my awful skin colouring and skin texture (very dry with eczema). I have owned tons of colours in the past that looked awful and a make-up girl even told me to just stick to neutrals. I really am better off having a small collection of make-up that just works with everything. I wished I had worked this out twenty years ago as it would have saved me a ton of money and a lot of awful make-up mistakes!0 -

The reason I have kept so much stuff is because I worried about the waste of money, but I have come to think there is no point keeping something when I keep finding excuses not to use it. Having no drawer space is getting me down so I think I have to accept the money has already been wasted. I am going to try your suggestion of bringing items into my make-up bag. I have a fancy glass dish on my chest of drawers so might start putting a few items in there at a time.0
