I have had punctures repaired three times free of charge, by KwikFit, in Surrey & SW London, one of the most expensive parts of the country.

So I wonder where Tarambor is that charges so much to repair punctures?

I've pulled a screw out of rear tyre today and wondered if I should still get the tyre looked at as there has been no loss of pressure.
The screw is fairly small at 1.5cm you can see the screw hole below

    Can anyone offer any advice?

Take it to Kwik Fit and let them get your car up on the ramps and see if its done any damage.

I'd a similar problem and the guys at Kwikfit immediately got it up on their ramps. There were four of them out with clip boards and after an hour they said they couldnt possibly let me drive the car away as it was unroadworthy and needed 4 new tyres, a new exhaust, and the discs and pads were all shot.

This surprised me as it was a brand new clio with just 700 miles on the clock. I'll certainly not be buying another renault i can tell you that.

I'd certainly not be taking it to that kwik-fit again, after that. ;)

    Neither will I.

You think you jest, but my Nissan-Renault does go through discs, tyres and springs like a donkey goes through strawberries.

It is hardly worth leaving kwickfit, I can just go round their forecourt and the whole lot have really worn out -again
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

If the air is not coming out then it's fine. I've pulled stuff out that's imbedded in the rubber including staples, tacks, and sharp grit; it's part of regularly checking your car over.
